President Trump, "We're turning the page on four long years of corruption,..."
Context
Criminal indictments of appointees in 1st Trump administration: 215
Criminal indictments of appointees in Biden administration: 0
"The American people have given us a mandate, a mandate like few people thought possible. We won every single swing state. We won the popular vote by millions and millions of people. "
Context
Maybe he meant million and million of votes since the difference was actually 2,287, 967.
"And that's why on day one, I signed an executive order banning all government censorship and directing the removal of every bureaucrat who conspired to attack free speech and many other things and values in America."
Context
You can disregard those independent media outlets banned from press conferences and air force one. It's not like a part of the government is muzzling the free flow of information.
"We also terminated the clearances of the Biden crime family and Joe Biden himself. He didn't deserve it. In fact, he was essentially found guilty, but they said he was incompetent and therefore, let's not find him guilty, I guess. Nobody knows what that ruling was, but I didn't want any part of it. I think I would have rather been found guilty than what they found with him."
Context
Refer to above reference to criminal indictments. Nobody knows what the ruling was because there was no such inquiry upon which to rule. He didn't want any part of it because there was nothing to be a part of. At this point Trump is just making up shit to spew.
"They're going to have a crime free capital again. It's going to be cleaner and better and safer than it ever was and it's not going to take us too long.
Context
Again? No city in the United States has ever been crime free. How long is not too long? Are there any people who listen to this and think, yes, yes that?
"Gasoline has come down, down to a level that we haven't seen in a long time."
Context
Average price of gasoline 1/20/25 $3.08 3/14/25 $3.07.
"And now you see that, by the way, the price of eggs is down 35 percent in the last week and a half. "
Context
Price of eggs 1/20/25 $4.95, 3/14/25 $4.90. All the exorbitant prices have occurred on Trumps watch. He's claiming same type of victory in being able to rein in his own excesses.
"We had an amazing judge in Florida, and her name is Aileen Cannon, and I didn't know her. I still don't know her. I don't believe I ever spoke to her, even during the trial. "
Context
Well, except that he nominated and appointed her to her position.
"I think we're doing now well with Russia. We're speaking with President Putin. We want to get the war over. Not only have we spent maybe $350 billion to Europe's -- think of that, $350 billion to $100 billion and yet we're across the ocean far away."
Context
Since 2022 the U.S. has pledged $175 billion to aid Ukraine. Please note a difference of 50% being pledged and the President of the U.S. lying about it. The U.S. has actually provided about $122.2 billion which is slightly more than the EU's $121.2 billion.
"Right now, you have a lot of Ukrainian soldiers that are encircled and in grave danger and I've asked them not to kill those soldiers, please, not to kill those soldiers. We don't want them killed. It's such a shame to see what's happened. A thing like that would have never happened. Inflation would have never happened."
Context
Well, maybe we shouldn't have halted aid and intelligence briefs. And how the hell does that pertain to domestic inflation?
All his speech is available verbatim at rollcall.com/factbase/trump/transcript/donald-trump-speech-department-of-justice-march-14-2025 . If you can read it in its entirety and come away believing the U.S. is secure and democracy is strong, you have not a smidge of comprehension.
